IN CHARACTER

physical contact. Allowed, but under the caveat that he will not respond well to most people touching him casually. He is far more likely to initiate the physical contact himself than allow it unwarranted from someone else. If you gain his trust, he will be much more amenable to it.

fights/injuries/death. Ed is an impulsive person who resorts to violence often, both as a byproduct of becoming a soldier at a young age and centered around his personality. As a result, fights and injuries are expected and allowed within reason. If he is going to receive a mortal injury, I'd prefer to discuss first.

relationships. Platonic relationships are encouraged! Please do not attempt to foster a familial dynamic with him. Romantic is a possibility, but I'd prefer to discuss extensively.

mind-reading. Allowed, given he is only human and the only mental blockades he possesses are entirely self-made. Reach out if you'd like specifics.

magical information. Though it isn't necessarily magical, per se, Ed possesses an immense capability for alchemy. This usually involves the transformation of one form of matter into another, i.e., turning his automail prosthetic into a makeshift blade, or turning stone into a gaudy statue. Etc.

medical information. Ed possesses two prosthetic limbs: his right arm and his left leg. They are connected to his nerve endings, and can be utilized just about as seamlessly as his flesh and blood limbs within reason. They cause him a particular amount of pain and discomfort, will prove anywhere from a nuisance to a hazard in extremely cold or hot conditions, and require regular maintenance. They have also stunted his growth to a certain degree.

potential triggers. Fullmetal Alchemist contains a generous list of serious subjects and potential triggers, ranging from child endangerment (and child soldiers), human experimentation, discussions of genocide, and violence to varying degrees.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

visual. Visual reference included here! Notably, Ed is considered below average for his age height-wise, though his physical capabilities are likely leagues above. His golden eyes are considered distinct in-universe. His sense of style is also notably ostentatious, marked by the bright red coat. His automail prosthetics are marked by severe scarring where the metal meets the skin, though this is often fully hidden. The rest of his clothing, beyond the white gloves, tends to be black to conceal any potential oil stains from maintenance of his prosthetics.

auditory. An expectedly boyish voice that tends towards unpleasant volumes when he is upset.

demeanor. Often seems to possess an air of aggravation or restlessness, except when things are clearly going his way. Quick to anger, and usually easy to incite. Arrogant to a degree. Though he prefers to speak casually even with those in authority, even to the point of being disrespectful, his vocabulary displays a clear intellect. Notably considered a loose cannon, and often seems to act in his own self-interest. In spite of this, he cannot outright ignore suffering; this has earned him the title of an alchemist of the people.
